“It makes me sick”: Jennifer Aniston raises her voice after being accused of anti-Semitism

Unwittingly involved in a lively controversy on social networks, the American actress gave a rant that did not please everyone…

This Saturday, August 5, Jamie Foxx surprised his 17 million subscribers on Instagram by posting this text: “They killed this guy called Jesus… what do you think they’re going to do to you? #fake friends #fake love“. Despite rather clear hashtags on the context of this sentence, the actor was accused of anti-Semitism, since the first words reminded some Internet users of the anti-Semitic expression “deicide people”. In a period when the Jewish community is the target of certain American stars (Cardi B, Kanye West…), this message caused a lively controversy in which Jennifer Aniston was involved.

A screenshot showing that Jennifer Aniston put a “like” to this publication has circulated on social networks. The actress reacted in a story on Instagram: “It really makes me sick. neither on purpose nor by accident. Above all, I want to be very clear to my friends and anyone else who is offended by this post: I do NOT support anti-Semitism in any form. And honestly, I really don’t tolerate HATE. Period“.

This reaction in turn caused controversy, since many Internet users do not understand the first controversy, and believe that it was obvious that Jamie Foxx was referring to the false friends that we all knew and / or to Judas. Still, the actor deleted his post and apologized: “I want to apologize to the Jewish community and to anyone who was offended by my post. (…) My choice of words offended and I’m sorry. It was never my intention. To be clear, I was betrayed by a fake friend and that’s what I meant by ‘they’, nothing more. I have nothing but love in my heart for everyone“. Ironically, some Internet users are now asking Jennifer Aniston to apologize to Jamie Foxx for making him look like an anti-Semite…
