
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Hayley Atwell on Peggy Carter’s Death: “It’s Not What I Envisioned For Her.”
The May 4th has been released in theaters Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessthe sequel dedicated to the adventures of Master of the Mystical Arts interpreted by Benedict Cumberbatch produced by Marvel Studios and directed by the legendary Sam Raimiwhich sees the return of Elizabeth Olsen in the role of Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch and is closely connected to the events narrated in the television series Wanda Vision And Loki.
During an interview with digital spy, Hayley Atwell spoke about his experience on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessrevealing that the brutal killing of Captain Carter in the movie she didn’t quite go along with the direction she initially envisioned for the character:
“It certainly wasn’t the trajectory I saw for Peggy [Carter]. I definitely wish he had more to do. It was a lot of fun because, you know, I did it 10 years ago and I love it because I love people [alla Marvel]And you never know if there could be more.”
As for the future of Peggy Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universethe actress said:
“It depends on what Marvel wants, and what the public wants… I’m its keeper. Compared to the rest of my career, my theater work, everything I’ve done on Mission: Impossible and all the other roles I’ve played, being able to play more complex and bad guys and a lot of different things… it’s not mine anymore. You live in a world where many people have taken you into their hearts. And it’s a beautiful thing. But you can’t control the impact a specific role has on the rest of the world.”
