Jada Pinkett Smith has revealed the progress she’s made in her battle with alopecia.
In an Instagram post on Monday, the “Girls Trip” star shared two selfies showing off her hair regrowth following her diagnosis of alopecia. “It looks like that hair is trying to come back. There are still problem areas but, we’ll see, she wrote. Photo 1: Before. Picture 2: Now.”
In the first photo, the actress has her head shaved. In the second, she sports extremely short bleached blonde hair.
The 51-year-old star first opened up about her alopecia diagnosis in 2018. “I had issues with hair loss,” she shared on her show, “Red Table Talk,” at the era. It was terrifying when it started. I was in the shower one day and I had a handful of hair in my hands and I was like, ‘Oh my God, am I going bald?
She added: “It was one of those times in my life where I was literally shaking with fear.”
In July 2021, she showed off her daughter-inspired shaved head, explaining, “Willow pushed me to do it because it was time to let go.”
