Not so long ago, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher in the podcast “Armchair Expert” shared quite controversial thoughts on bathing children. They admitted that the actress only bathes them when the kids are visibly dirty. Now Jake Gyllenhaal has spoken out on the subject as well.
Jake Gyllenhaal about frequent baths
Jake Gyllenhaal spoke to “Vanity Fair” about cleanliness. Bathing is “sometimes less needed”, he said. He referred to studies that suggest washing too regularly may harm the microbiome responsible for protecting the human immune system.
More and more often, I believe that a bath is sometimes less needed. Our body cleans itself naturally – the actor confessed in an interview.
This controversial thesis appears more and more often in the statements of some celebrities. In fact, experts say washing too often and using harsh antibacterial soaps does harm the skin. Fortunately, the actor also said that he is hygienic himself. He referred to the lyrics of an Elvis Costello song.
I believe in the words of the wonderful Elvis Costello that good manners and bad breath will get you nowhere. So I do it – said Jake Gyllenhaal in an interview.
Jake Gyllenhaal comes from an acting family. Both his parents and sister are related to cinematography. He himself is known for such movies as “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time”, “Zodiac”, “Brokeback Mountain” and “The Day After Tomorrow”. Most recently, we could see him in the blockbuster “Spider-Man: Far From Home”.
