James Gunn anticipates the return of Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn?

James Gunndirector of Guardians of the Galaxy, teased DC fans by referring to a possible project with the Harley Quinn of Margot Robbie. A few months ago, the director “confirmed” that other spin-offs of The Suicide Squad – Suicide Mission (2021), besides Peacemaker, are in the works.

James Gunnresponding to a fan on Twitter asking for a new movie / TV series with Harley Quinn, he replied …

Of course, this tweet doesn’t confirm anything. Margot Robbie, at the moment, he will not return to work with the director. After taking the reins of The Suicide Squad – Suicide Mission, James Gunn immediately dived into the spin-off series Peacemakerproduced for HBO Max. The series was a great success in the US and this convinced DC / HBO Max to continue.

Recently Gunnwhen asked about a sequel to The Suicide Squad – Suicide Mission, he told a The Playlist:

The honest truth is that I have so many hours a day to work on some things. I have had so much fun working on television that I really think that’s what I will be doing next year of my life. I’m not sure what I’ll do next because it might be an outside movie [DC]but it could be a DC movie that has to do with these characters

It sure would be very interesting to see the Harley Quinn’s Margot Robbie in a film of his own directed by James Gunn. But other DC characters also deserve a spin-off, like Daniela Melchior (Ratcatcher 2) or Bloodsport’s Idris Elba.

In conclusion, unfortunately Peacemaker does not yet have a release date in Italy.
