Apple TV + service in almost two years of its existence has only a handful of real hits, but the series “The Morning Show” was loud all over the world. Therefore, the upcoming season 2 premiere promises to be extremely hot.
“The Morning Show” is a drama series inspired by the #MeToo movement. The plot of the first season of production revolves around the three co-hosts of the popular TV breakfast program. One of his stars, Mitch Kessler (played by Steve Carell), is unexpectedly accused of sexually abusing former co-workers. A nationwide scandal breaks out around The Morning Show.
In the new installment of the production we will get to know the first long-term effects of this confusion. The program will leave, among others Alex Levy (Jennifer Aniston), who, after revealing the scale of abuse live on the show, will not want anything else to do with him. And that will only reinforce speculation that she might be hiding something and she hasn’t said everything yet. The other employees of “The Morning Show” will not have it easy either, because after the metaphorical bomb was blown up by two journalists in the season 1 finale (you can read its review HERE), the entire editorial office will try to find their place in the new reality.
In addition to Jennifer Aniston and Steve Carell, Season 2 will also feature Reese Witherspoon, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass and Julianna Margulies. The new season will bring a total of 10 episodes.
The question is how The Morning Show will relate to the further evolution of the #MeToo movement. From the very beginning, Apple’s series was distinguished by the fact that it showed not only the positive sides of the fraud disclosure strategy, but also pondered the possible dark side of the situation. Fans of the series will certainly count on an equally mature and interesting replay of the entertainment.
