November 11, 2022 will forever remain a date synonymous with mourning for Jennifer Aniston. It was on that day that his father, John Aniston has passed away at the age of 89. The latter was also an actor, well known in the United States for having played the role of Victor Kiriakis in the series Days and lives. If the star of Friends gave her a beautiful Instagram tribute on the day of her death, she let little information leak out about the father-daughter relationship which they maintained during his lifetime. Interviewed by the wall street journal in an article released this Tuesday, August 22, the 54-year-old actress said more on the death of his father and the impact of this sad event on his life.
“His father’s health had been declining for several years when he had Covid and never recovered. After his death, Jennifer Aniston was almost immediately surrounded by signs that told her he was still with her in some form or another.” she explained to our colleagues. Convinced that John Aniston has been watching over her since his disappearance, the actress hinted that his death had strengthened their bond: “I feel closer to him since he died. Much more than I was when he was alive. I feel like he’s everywhere. Really”, she revealed bluntly.
Jennifer Aniston therefore feels the presence of her father from beyond. As proof, the famous ex-wife of Brad Pitt recounted a disturbing episode that occurred just after John Aniston’s funeral: “Before her father’s funeral, Jennifer Aniston took a crystal that she had kept for years. Then, standing near the casket, she slipped it into the jacket of the deceased. When she returned home, the star saw a piece of the same crystal enthroned in the middle of her dressing table. She didn’t know that it had broken just before and that she had only left half of it with her father. She made this broken piece her amulet.”

The childhood of the future Hollywood star was marked by the abandonment of his father. When his daughter was only 9 years old, John Aniston left home without a word in November 1979, divorced from his wife Nancy Dow after 11 years of marriage, and didn’t see Jennifer for a whole year, as summarized by DailyMail in 2020. This abandonment is worth years of therapy to Jennifer Aniston. “Jen forgave her father for leaving when she was little. But their relationship had its ups and downs, explained a friend of the actress to our colleagues. Jennifer didn’t talk to him for a long time. But since the coronavirus crisis, she is on the phone with him almost every day. And not just for brief conversations. It’s as if she had understood that life is very short and that she wanted that her relationship with John is the best it can be. He is delighted that they have reconciled.”
