The film “Don’t Look Up” tells the story of astronomy student Kate (Jennifer Lawrence) and her professor Randall Mandym, who together discover that there is a comet circulating in the social system, which is on a collision course with Earth. There are six months left to the collision. Kate and Randall have to make the public aware of the impending catastrophe and answer the question of what needs to be done for the world fascinated by the media to finally look up.
Jennifer Lawrence, best known for her role in The Hunger Games, won an Oscar for her role in the 2013 film “A Guide to Positive Thinking”. Leonardo DiCaprio will be seen in the film for the first time since Tarantin’s “Once upon a time … in Hollywood”
The script and direction of the film is handled by Oscar winner Adam McKay (“Big Short”). In addition to the stars in the leading roles, the film will also star Meryl Streep, Ron Perlman, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Scott Mescudi (known as Kid Cudi), Cate Blanchett and Tyler Perry.
The film will be shown on Netflix and in selected cinemas in December.
