We are almost there, John Wick 4 it’s really coming. The fourth film of the action saga with Keanu Reeves in the role of the killer has been expected since May 2019, when the third chapter, Parabellum, had gone out into the hall. Then, the pandemic and the filming of Matrix Resurrection have inevitably delayed the work of John Wick 4 which, however, has now begun the countdown before its theatrical debut. With a clarification: the title of the film, contrary to certain indications, is not Hagakure but, simply, John Wick 4 (or #JW4 for social media).
When it comes out at the cinema John Wick 4
Even the processing of the film, like other titles, had to deal with the pandemic and the closures from the set. Four years after the third chapter, John Wick 4 will be in Italian theaters (for 01 Distribution) from March 23, 2023.

The spin-offs
L’John Wick universe it’s not limited to movies. While the film saga, in fact, is destined to end with the fifth and final chapter (whose release would have already been set for March 24, 2024), well two spin-offs, in serial format. These are the announced series The Continental And Dancer.
The Continental
The Continental it is the prequel series which explores the origin story and inner workings of the exclusive hotel, hub of the killer community known in the films, told from the point of view of the hotel manager, played by a young Colin Woodell (the “younger” version of Ian McShane in the movie). The series, which is set to debut on Prime Video in 2023, is set in 1970s New York and follows Winston as he attempts to take over the iconic hotel, while also battling his own demons from the past. In the cast, without Keanu Reeves for chronological reasons, there are also Ayomide Adegun (Charon as a young man), Peter Greene (Uncle Charlie), Mel Gibson (Cormac), Ben Robson (Frankie), Hubert Point-Du Jour (Miles) , Jessica Allain (Lou), Mishel Prada (KD) and Nhung Kate (Yen).
Dancer
The other spin-off series from the John Wick (criminal) universe is titled Dancerstarring Ana de Armas. According to the first advances on the project, which has just begun filming, the actress, who has already ventured into action movies in No Time to Die and in The Gray Man, plays a female assassin seeking vengeance on those who killed her family. To generate a lot of hype towards the series are some indiscretions, in the cast there will also be Ian McShane (the director of the Continental, Winston) and none other than Keanu Reeves, who could reprise his role as John Wick.
