Depp’s experience in the long and grueling trial of his ex-wife Heard has been captured in the lyrics of a song due for release on July 15, according to The Guardian.
It is one of two songs written by the actor on a collaborative album entitled “18” which was recorded with British guitarist Jeff Beck.
“When Johnny and I started playing music together, it really sparked our youthful spirit and creativity. We were joking about how it felt like we were 18 again, so that became the title of the album as well,” Beck notes.
The first single from the album titled This is a Song for Miss Hedy Lamarr is an original song by the actor. “That song is one of the reasons I asked him to do an album with me,” adds Jeff.

“It’s a great honor to play and write music with Jeff, one of the true greats and someone I’m now privileged to call my brother,” said Johnny Depp.
Along with Depp’s two original songs, the album, recorded over the past three years, contains 13 songs, including covers of songs by artists such as the Beach Boys, John Lennon and others.
