Filming on the film based on the horror video game will start next February

Exclusively from Deadlines the acquisition of is reported Josh Hutcherson and Matthew Lillard in the cast of the film Five Nights At Freddy’sbased on the horror video game franchise of the same name created in 2014. The roles they will play are currently unknown, with production on the film starting in February in the city of New Orleans. Emma Tammi (The Wind. Blood Moon) will direct the film based on the popular game. Five Nights at Freddy’s follows a troubled security guard as he begins work at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending her first night on the job, she realizes that the graveyard shift at Freddy’s isn’t so easy to accomplish. The film is written by Scott Cawthon, Emma Tammi and Seth Cuddeback. The film will be produced by Blumhouse in association with Striker Entertainment. Scott Cawthon and Jason Blum will produce the film. Russell Binder is an executive producer.

Hutcherson is best known for his performance in the hugely successful franchise, The Hunger Games, alongside Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Stanley Tucci, Woody Harrelson and Elizabeth Banks. Earlier this year, Hutcherson completed filming on 57 Seconds with Morgan Freeman, Little Mouth with Dennis Quaid and Isabell Fuhrman and, more recently, The Beekeeper. Josh Hutcherson recently made his directorial debut on the short film Bee, of which he is also the protagonist. Hutcherson continues his passion for directing by directing music videos. Lillard recently starred in the NBC hit Good Girls with Christina Hendricks, Retta and Mae Whitman. He has appeared in big shows like Bosch, Billions, Halt, Catch Fire and many others. His previous films are the iconic Scream and He’s All That. Keep voicing “Shaggy” for the Scooby Doo franchise.
