Movie Jungle Expedition became one of the biggest movie surprises this summer. The production has already earned over $ 100 million, so it’s no wonder that you already hear about a sequel to this adventure.
Portal The Hollywood Reporter reports that a recent Disney hit, Jungle Expeditionwill get a sequel! Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt will return to their roles, and Michael Green will again be responsible for the script. Jaume Collet-Serra is also expected to resume the director’s chair. However, it is not known when the sequel would start shooting and when it would hit theaters.

Expedition to the Jungle is an adventurous, thrilling ride on the Amazon with witty Captain Frank Wolff (Johnson) and fearless researcher Lily Houghton (Blunt). The heroine sets off from London to a wild and dangerous forest. Wishing to reach a mysterious and inaccessible place, he decides to use Frank’s dubious services. Thus, he enters La Quila, the ruined but charming boat of the aforementioned hero. Lily is determined to discover an ancient tree with unparalleled healing powers that will transform the face of future medicine. On an epic journey, this extraordinary duo faces countless dangers. Among them there will be, among others, dangerous supernatural forces, well hidden in dark alleys of an apparently beautiful and lush rainforest. However, Lily and Frank’s initial mission becomes more and more important over time. When some secrets are revealed, it turns out that not only the future of medicine is in the hands of the heroes, but also the future of the world.
The spectacular adventure film was directed by Jaume Collet-Serra. The film’s scriptwriters are Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, who together with Michael Green are also responsible for the invented story.
