Jurgen Klopp: Rangnick’s hiring Man Utd is not good news for other teams | ManUtd.pl

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, on the occasion of Friday’s press conference before the league match with Southampton, was, inter alia, when asked about the strong media reports that Ralf Rangnick would become Manchester United’s new interim manager after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked from his position last week.

German coach “The Reds” has repeatedly publicly expressed his respect towards Ralf Rangnickawhich he has always considered his coaching authority, from which he drew his role models. Due to the increasingly strong information on the potential employment of the 63-year-old at Old Trafford, there could not be no Jurgen Klopp journalists’ questions on this matter.

– Usually we do not talk about matters that do not have their official confirmation yet, but if you tell me it will come to this [zatrudnienia Rangnicka w Manchesterze United – wyj. red.]I can believe you, he said Klopp.

– Well… well… it looks like unfortunately a good coach will appear in England, for Manchester United. This is, of course, a really experienced manager. He built two clubs out of nothing, making them solid teams and a serious football force that counts in Germany. I mean here Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig.

– He has held various positions in the football environment, but he has always focused primarily on being a coach, manager. It is in these aspects of his work that he is the best. Well, United will be a well-organized team on the pitch and I think we should be aware of that. This of course …[śmiech]… Not good news for the other teams.

– However, like all coaches in the world, he will need time to train his team. But I think Ralf will realize very quickly here that he won’t have time to train because we are playing match after match here. It will definitely be a challenge for him, but other than that, he is a really good man and a great coach. Of course, it has yet to come to that, it must officially go to England.

“Wherever he went, he was doing an incredibly good job.” He started very early as an extremely young guy leading Stuttgart’s second team. I don’t remember all of his clubs later, but I remember well how he took a job in Ulm and brought them to the Bundesliga, which was crazy at the time. Since then, he has made a career path for himself.

– The first time we faced each other was when I was still a very young coach and he was driving Hannover. He may not remember it anymore, but then they always played against our opponents a week later. He called me, the young Mainz manager, asking a lot of questions. I was happy that “Big Ralph” was calling me to get all the information he needed. Ultimately, they got promoted to the Bundesliga and we didn’t [śmiech]. So he still owes me a favor.

“But apart from that, he is actually a very, very respected and valued figure in the football world in Germany,” he concluded.
