Kate Walsh is excited about the future of Grey’s Anatomy. Walsh, who plays Dr. Addison Montgomery on the ABC medical drama, told PEOPLE that she hopes the series will “continue” after Ellen Pompeo’s decision to step back.
“The storylines are so strong… The new residents this season, I love that they’re all fallible and screwed up, and that makes it, I think, so much more interesting”the actress said at the New York premiere of Emily in Paris on Thursday.
“The interns and assistants are back, like me, and that was a lot of fun, and also the writing has never been stronger on the show”he added.
Walsh also revealed that she had no hesitation about returning to Grey’s Anatomy after speaking with showrunner Krista Vernoff.
“They were very motivated to really talk about what’s happening in the culture with women and women’s health”explained the actress. “And they’ve addressed that, I think, in an incredible way.”
And he continued: “The episodes I’m working on are so powerful that I can’t wait for people to see them.”
