Empire magazine has released a never-before-seen image from Avatar 2: The Way of Water, revealing Kate Winslet’s character in the film.
Winslet is Na’vi Ronal (pronounced ‘Ro-nail’), the warrior and leader of the Metkayina tribe, who inhabit the shallow waters of Pandora’s vast oceans – who will play an important role in the sequel.
“She is deeply loyal, and a fearless leader. She is strong, a warrior. Even in the face of grave dangers, and pregnant with a baby, she joins her people in the fight for what is most precious to everyone: family and home. “, commented Winslet.

Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Giovanni Ribisi, CCH Pounder, Dileep Rao and Joel David Moore return in the sequel.
In addition to Winslet and Curtis, David Thewlis, Vin Diesel, Jemaine Clement, Edie Falco, CJ Jones, Michelle Yeoh and Oona Chaplin are also in the cast.
Under the direction of James Cameron, Avatar 2: the Way of Water opens on December 15, 2022.
