I have been very lucky in my career, I can afford to take good care of my baby and receive a lot of support – and yet it is still very difficult for me to be a mother. And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with my talking about it – it doesn’t mean that I don’t love my child. However, the constant lack of sleep, hormonal changes and a complete revolution in my relationship with my partner make me feel as if I cannot cope on a basic level. I have to keep reminding myself that I didn’t fail and I’m doing what I can – but it’s not easy.
