Keira Knightley says no to strip scenes

Hosting on the Chanel Connects podcast, Keira Knightley revealed that she refused to participate in male-directed topless movies or erotic scenes. The actress makes sure that every contract she signs for the role includes a clause on the lack of on-screen nudity.

In an interview with director Lulu Wang and journalist Diane Solway, the star of “Pirates of the Caribbean” admitted that she would feel uncomfortable today playing without clothes in a film depicting a male view of nudity and sex. I am too vain, and my body has given birth to two children. That’s why I’d rather not stand naked in front of a group of guys Knightley said.

Knightley has appeared in “costume-less” scenes in the past. However, he does not mention them with sentiment. So today she would consider undressing on set only if there was a woman behind the camera. Moreover, the film would have to be a story about experiencing motherhood and accepting the body.
