The Osheaga Festival is fast approaching and it’s time for music lovers to prepare their daily schedule. To help you make wise choices, here are eight must-see artists to see during the three-day festival, which runs from August 4-6.
Friday 4 august
The Flaming Lips plays Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots
American alternative rock band The Flaming Lips really needs no introduction. Led by the destabilizing and charismatic Wayne Coyne, the group formed in 1983 is known for its crazy performances – like the concerts where the singer and his fans were encapsulated in giant plastic balls.
The band will perform the entire album Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots (2002), a favorite of many of the band’s fans and possibly its most accessible.

Dope Lemon
The pseudonym of singer and musician Angus Stone, of Australian brother-sister duo Angus and Julia Stone, Dope Lemon delivers sunny indie rock that’s perfect for hot summer days.
The artist unveiled his third opus, Pink Pink Cadillac, in 2022 and last Thursday launched the title miami babyfirst single from the album Kimosabewhich will be released in September.

Saturday 5 august
Billie Eilish
The young American singer Billie Eilish is on a festival tour in Europe and North America. She will be in Osheaga on Saturday after a concert at the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago on Thursday.
The pop sensation who launched two hit albums, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? (2019) and Happy Than Ever (2021), is currently working on his third opus. She recently signed the song What Was I Made For? which is on the soundtrack of the film Barbie.

sofi tukker
Sofi Tukker, an electronic music duo based in Florida and composed of Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern, made a name for themselves with drinkeea song in Portuguese inspired by the poem Relogio by the Brazilian poet Chacal.

Kendrick Lamar
An essential figure in American rap, winner of 14 Grammy awards in career as well as the Pulitzer Prize for the lyrics of his album DAMN. – a first for a rapper –, Kendrick Lamar is recognized for his thrilling performances and his technically impressive flow.
With five studio albums, including the latest, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, was released in 2022, the Californian rapper will be able to draw on his wide repertoire to impress his fans during the closing night of Osheaga.

Fred again..
British singer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist Fred again.. first made his mark as a songwriter and producer for fellow artists like BTS, Ellie Goulding, Charli XCX and Ed Sheeran.
He exploded onto the international scene under his own name in 2021 with the title Marea (We’ve Lost Dancing), which features The Blessed Madonna (pseudonym of singer Marea Stamper). For fans of soaring and melodic electro, his concert in Osheaga is a must.

Julia Jacklin
Singer and songwriter Julia Jacklin, born in the Blue Mountains in Australia, made a name for herself with her indie folk, sometimes reminiscent of the music of Fiona Apple. She was supposed to perform in Montreal last September, but the concert was finally canceled.
