Kerline Cardoso is the newest supporter of “face vampire“, cosmetic procedure done with blood which became popular after Kim Kardashian performed it and shared it on social media. “With the arrival of 30 years, I needed to be even more attentive to my skin care and I was in love with the results”, comments Ker about the technique in an exclusive chat with Glamour.
Despite being unusual, Kerline guaranteed not to feel uncomfortable at any time. “The injections were super fast and smooth. I didn’t have to worry about anything. I even want to repeat it every six months,” she says.

Blood Skincare Treatment: What is Vampire Facial?
Curious to know how it works? Dermatologist Patrícia Mafra explained it tim-tim by tim-tim to us. “Before the procedure itself, a small amount of blood is withdrawn from a patient’s vein, in the same way as when performing tests. This collected material undergoes a specific treatment process by being inserted into a centrifuge that separates the plasma from the blood,” she introduces.
“We can perform procedures such as microneedling, microneedling radiofrequency and microdermabrasion. These treatments will work by opening microchannels or decreasing the thickness of the skin tissue to make the plasma, which will then be applied topically, penetrate deeper into the skin, which enhances its effectiveness”, continues the doctor.
According to the specialist, plasma is used because it concentrates a large amount of platelets, which are rich in growth factors that, when applied to a region, favor cell renewal and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. “The effect is a more elastic, firm and uniform skin”, she adds.
According to beautician Michele França, responsible for the treatment of the ex-BBB, the procedure has no contraindications. “Since the blood is the patient’s own blood, we don’t have rejection,” she explains.
