Fabrizio Romano and Gianluca Di Marzio, experts enjoying great esteem among fans, announced a transfer agreement signed between Fiorentina and Hertha. Under it, the Pole is to change the club colors, the player has already had individual talks with the Italian club.
In recent weeks, there has been a lot of talk about the interest in Piątek among the major clubs in Europe. At first, the Turkish direction seemed very likely – more specifically Galatasaray Istanbul. Then more and more things started pointing to a return to Italy.
The owners of Genoa CFC were to be eager for Piątek’s services again – a club in which the Polish striker “set out” to the wide waters. Ultimately, however, it was another Serie A team that showed more determination to bring in the Five.
As Krzysztof Stanowski wrote on Twitter, the agreement is in the form of a loan with the redemption option set at EUR 15-17 million. Krzysztof Piątek still has an important contract with Hertha Berlin until 2025.
