KSW is not for Polsat anymore. The streaming platform has taken over the rights and will show 12 galas in a year

At the beginning of August, Viaplay officially premiered in Poland – in addition to many films and series, the Swedish service offers sports broadcasts. Although so far over a million Polish users have become interested in the platform, a new player on the market is fighting more and more vigorously for new recipients – this time a great cooperation with KSW has been established.

The rights to broadcast KSW have been taken over by Viaplay, thanks to which the galas will be shown not only in Poland, but also in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and the Netherlands. Viewers will see the rivalry of fighters on the standard subscription, at no extra charge.

The first KSW gala will be available on Viaplay on December 18, and viewers can count on Polish commentary – a traditional studio will be operating during the event, where the players’ actions during the fights will be discussed. It is worth noting that so far Polsat has been the main media partner for 17 years – some events were shown both on the main Polsat channel and Polsat Sport, but over time access to the most important galas was sold via pay-per view.

“KSW attracts die-hard fans, especially in Poland, and is currently the leading form of MMA promotion in Europe. The partnership with Viaplay matched perfectly with the number of events growing from next year to 12 per year, confirmed Peter Nørrelund of Viaplay’s NENT Group.

The establishment of a new cooperation was also commented on by Martin Lewandowski, representative of KSW:

“Next year, the number of our events will increase, the composition of our team and the number of European territories where KSW will be easily accessible will also expand. Cooperation with Viaplay gives us new opportunities and will positively influence the further development of KSW. This is an important moment in the history of the Federation, which underlines our commitment to the development of the organization ”.

Welcome to the New Era!
