Kylie Jenner wears Birkinstocks made of Birkin bags

The MSCHF brand donated flip-flops made of Birkin Hermès to the influencer. Previously, there were no Birkenstocks in her closet. Will it change its mind about orthopedic shoes for good with a luxurious gift?

Kylie Jenner loves designer clothes. The collection has already gathered vintage items from Chanel, Dior and Gucci from the times of Tom Ford. But her new favorite shoes are not from the line of the fashion house. These are Birkinstocks created by the MSCHF brand from Birkenstock and Birkin Hermès handbags. Inexperienced observers might not be able to distinguish its flip-flops from the ordinary Arizona model. The devil is in the details – golden clasps and a characteristic leather texture. Hermès’ orange box also reveals their origin. “Thanks @mschf,” Kylie wrote on Instagram, revealing that she had received a gift from the brand.

MSCHF designers buy Birkin bags and then break them to make flaps. The shoe prices are staggering – from $ 34,000 to $ 76,000, depending on the finish (crocodile leather is the most expensive). Neither Birkenstock nor Hermès have anything to do with the project.

The MSCHF deserves the highest mark for creativity, and Kylie Jenner, as always, for the nose for news. Birkinstocks also have Future, Kehlani and “private collectors” in their wardrobes, as the brand’s creators reveal. On the wave of Birkinstocks popularity, ordinary Birkenstocks are also experiencing a renaissance. The company works with brands such as Valetino and Rick Owens, and its flip-flops and sandals are worn by Katie Holmes, Reese Witherspoon or Kendall Jenner, Kylie’s sister.
