Last concert scheduled for the fifteenth edition of the symphonic musical season promoted by Walton Foundation in the suggestive scenery of Greek theatre, confirming La Mortella a place where nature and music come together in a perfect union. The closing concert, scheduled Thursday 28 July will be a tribute to symphonic music and will be entrusted toMatteo Goffriller Youth Symphony Orchestra of Bressanonedirected by the Maestro Stephen Lloyd.The Orchestra, made up of young musicians from three linguistic groups, mainly from Alto Adige and Trentino, represents an extraordinary listening experience in the international music scene. In this regard, the program that the formation will present to the public of Ischia will be particularly exciting: it will range from Bellini’s “Norma” to Mascagni’s “Cavalleria Rusticana”, from a medley inspired by “James Bond” to the “Rondò” for Mozart’s Horn.
The concert will be held at 21:00. The Greek Theater – built in the heart of Mortella – has the bay of Forio as its background and offers the spectator unforgettable concerts accompanied by a unique natural atmosphere. The symphonic season will return in 2023, while at the Giardini la Mortella the music does not stop: on Sunday 31 July the last appointment on the calendar also for the Musical Meetings with the performance of the pianist Luigi Borzillo. After a break in August, the music will resume from the first weekend of September with the chamber concerts of the autumn season.
