The Marvels, Laura Karpman teases about the film’s soundtrack and Iman Vellani’s performance as Kamala Khan.
The July 28, 2023 the sequel to will be released in theaters Captain Marvelthe cinecomic having as its protagonist Brie Larson. The film, titled The Marvels and directed by Nia DaCosta (Candyman), you will see Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) e Kamala Khan alias Ms Marvel (Iman Vellani) alongside Carol Danvers and will tie into the events of the series Secret Invasion.
In a promotional interview with Collidersthe composer Laura Karpmanknown for composing the soundtrack for What If…? and Ms. Marvel, spoke about his involvement in The Marvels. While unable to anticipate details on the film due to the secrecy of Marvel Studios, Karpman explained that he is already in the middle of working on the film together with his wife Nora Kroll-Rosenbaumespecially praising the performance of Iman Vellani:
“I’m working on it. Very very much. I mean, I’m right in the middle of the works. What I can tell you is that it will be amazing. And that the performances are great, and that Kamala is back, she’s fabulous. And I love, love, love scoring her performances as well as everyone in the film. Is magnificent.”
