Sunday in the first league was mostly marked by a hit, i.e. the match between Górnik Zabrze and Legia Warsaw. The hosts were leading 2-0 until the break, and Lukas Podolski scored his first goal in the league. The visitors did not lay down their arms and equalized within 90 seconds in the second half. The end of the game was crazy. First, in the 90th minute, Krzysztof Kubica scored the goal of Legia, but this goal was canceled by VAR. It seemed that it would be the last chord of this match, but the same player in the 96th minute defeated Cezary Miszta again and the seventh consecutive defeat of Legia Warszawa became a fact.
In the remaining matches, Bruk-Bet Termalica Nieciecza drew 1-1 with Górnik Łęczna. Both teams played in the first half of the game, because Tekijaski and Banaszak saw red cards. However, in the second, interestingly promising meeting, Pogoń turned out to be better than Silesia in Wroc³aw. The hosts won 2: 1 after goals from Zahovic and Kucharczyk. The guests responded only with a hit by Makowski.
Lech the leader, Legia at the bottom
Lech Poznań remains in the lead, defeating Piast Gliwice 1-0 on Saturday. The second, two points behind, is Lechia, who made a stumble in the match against Stal Mielec (3: 3). The third place is occupied by Pogoń, and the fourth by Raków Częstochowa. Marek Papszun’s players will play against Cracovia on Monday and have one more game overdue.
However, Legia Warsaw is almost at the bottom. The Polish champions record a series of seven defeats in a row. They are in the penultimate place and have the same number of points as the last Górnik Łęczna, although they still have two matches outstanding. These can only help to get out of the relegation zone, because there is no question of fighting for the Polish championship. Legia loses 23 points to Lech. Warta Poznań is also relegated, having lost 1: 2 to Wisła P³ock on Saturday.
