Leipzig wins, Salzburg overtakes Dinamo

It ends 1-1 at Da Luz. Salzburg wins and now leads the Milan group. Pokerissimo of the Citizens, double for Haaland

In the other Champions League challenges, in the Juve group Benfica and PSG they draw 1-1, continuing arm in arm and keeping four points over the bianconeri. Wins the Salzburg: 1-0 to Dinamo Zagreb and top in the Milan group, ahead of the Rossoneri and Chelsea. Successes for Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid, beating Shakhtar 2-1. Pokerissimo del Manchester City to Copenhagen (5-0), with yet another brace from Haaland.

In the other match of the Milan group, Salzburg relaunched its chances of qualification: Dinamo Zagreb defeated 1-0 thanks to Okafor’s third consecutive goal. The first is also of the Croats with Mišić, but Köhn deflects the conclusion of the former Spezia. The Austrians immediately take control of the game, managing the ball and the rhythms, and go close to the net with Sučić: Livaković deflects and then Okafor wastes. The second half opened with a chance for Šeško, who however hit Livaković with his header. The domination of Salzburg is clear, the network is in the air and reaches the 70 ‘: Moharrami knocks Ulmer out and is a penalty, which is transformed by Okafor for the advantage. The final is in apnea for the Austrians: Köhn saves on Drmić, who in the recovery sees the equalizer canceled for an offside. Thus Salzburg wins, overtaking Dinamo Zagreb on the pitch and in the standings: the Austrians rise to 5 points and are candidates for qualification.

Real Madrid continues with full points, also defeating Shakhtar with a 2-1 that absolutely does not reflect the dominance of the blancos, very inaccurate sidelines. The advantage of the merengues comes in the 13th minute: Rodrygo gets free and kicks from outside the area, beating Trubin. The Ukrainian goalkeeper saves on Benzema, but must capitulate in the 28th minute: a fast action leads to the doubling of Vinicius Junior, who immediately goes close to the three of a kind. Shooting at the target of Real Madrid, who has chances after chances, but wastes them and is punished in the final half: Zubkov’s scissoring gives Shakhtar 2-1 and hope. Thus we go to the break at 2-1, which remains in the second half. Real Madrid dominate, but fail to score: Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior have great chances, as does Benzema. The last chance comes from the feet of the substitute Asensio, who hits the post. The blancos win 2-1 and fly to 9 points, followed by Shakhtar (4) and Leipzig (3).

Manchester City dominates and wins by a wide margin, overwhelming Copenhagen with a peremptory 4-0: the protagonist is still Haaland, who with today’s brace reaches 19 goals in 12 games. The Norwegian is released immediately, scoring in the 7 ‘on Cancelo’s cross, and the Citizens spread: Bernardo Silva hits the post, then Grabara saves on Grealish and on Haaland himself. The former Dortmund is in great shape and doubles in the 32nd minute, in tap-in after the conclusion of Sergio Gomez and the goalkeeper’s save: with this goal, which is worth 2-0, Haaland reaches 28 goals in the Champions League and overtakes Luis Suarez (27). Before the break, the trio also arrives, propitiated by Kocholava’s own goal. The recovery begins without Haaland, with Guardiola who decides to let him rest and grants time to the young Palmer, Lewis and Wilson-Esbrand. At 51 ‘here is the poker, signed on a penalty by Mbappé, while Copenhagen goes close to the flag net with Mukairu. Manchester City, however, continued to dominate and in the 76th minute it was 5-0: Mahrez served Julián Álvarez, who only had to push into the net. Thus ends, with the pokerissimo of Manchester City, which remains with full points and dominates group G.

In the other challenge, Sevilla are overwhelmed by Borussia Dortmund: the gialloneri win 4-1 at Sanchez-Pizjuan, in what could be Lopetegui’s last match on the Andalusian bench. Here too the game is released immediately thanks to Raphael Guerreiro, who scores in the 5 ‘with a great shot from distance. Meyer, Dortmund goalkeeper, saves twice on En-Nesyri, who risks half an hour: his risky intervention on Adeyemi is worth the red, who is canceled by the Var for a previous foul. In the final half, Borussia spreads: Bellingham scores the 2-0 in the 40th minute with a great touch to displace Bounou, three minutes later here is Adeyemi’s trio. Sevilla, overwhelmed at home, wakes up only in the 51st minute: En-Nesyri scores the goal of the flag, headed from corner action. This is an ephemeral reaction, because Dortmund continues to dominate and reaches poker: the 4-1 goal is by Julian Brandt, who finalizes on Moukoko’s winning pass in the 77th minute. A chance for each side in the final: Malen touches the fifth goal, while Dolberg hits the crossbar for Sevilla. The Andalusians, however, are defeated: Dortmund 4-1, increasingly second with 6 points.

In the group of Juventus, the result less appreciated by the bianconeri arrives: Benfica and PSG draw 1-1 and continue arm in arm, with 7 points and a reassuring +4 on the Old Lady. Benfica started well, with high pressure and two important chances for Gonçalo Ramos and David Neres, stopped by Donnarumma. The goal seems in the air, but it comes instead for PSG: Mbappé serves Messi, who strikes Vlachodimos with a great shot from distance and scores for the 40th team in the Champions League. Donnarumma is still decisive on Antonio Silva, but capitulates on friendly fire in the 41st minute: the own goal is by Danilo Pereira, who mocked his goalkeeper by trying to anticipate Ramos. We therefore go to rest on the tie, which resists in the second half. Neymar hits the crossbar with an overhead kick, and then Vlachodimos’ show begins: the Greek goalkeeper saves on Hakimi and Mbappé, even surpassing Ney’s free-kick. Galtier tries them all, but his players risk on the counterattack: Rafa Silva enhances Donnarumma’s reflexes. The last chance belongs to Fabian Ruiz, but a draw arrives: Benfica and PSG thus remain arm in arm with 7 points, +4 over Juventus.
