The actor joined the thousands of people and various public figures and also set out to help the country.
Leonardo DiCaprio pledged three million dollars (2.7 million euros) to help fight fires in Australia.
The actor launched the Australia Wildfire Fund through his organization, Earth Alliance – which he chairs, alongside Laurene Powell Jobs and billionaire Brian Sheth – to raise money to help the country.
“All funds will be used to help fight fires, help the most affected local communities, enable wildlife rescue and recovery and support the long-term restoration of unique ecosystems,” Earth Alliance explained.
The organization will be working with companies in Australia that are fighting firefighting.
