Warner Bros Discovery in these hours has officially changed the release date of The Flash, but for the cinecomix starring Ezra Miller A new report has just emerged with lots of news.
In fact, on Deadline and World of Reel we read that The Flash has received the widest consensus ever at Warner Bros. with test-screenings, obtaining higher scores than recently The Batman and of the beloved The dark Knight by Christopher Nolan. A source revealed to the magazine that the Andy Muschietti-directed film is “like Marvel’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, but done right“, with a storyline again involving the Multiverse and different versions of the protagonist heroes, including the Batmans of Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck: the former’s role is described as ‘fundamental’ to the story and very extensive (“about half of the film, which is 140 minutes long“) while that of the second would seem to be reduced to little more than a cameo.
But speaking of cameos, the surprises in store for The Flash there would be many: according to the information leaked from the test-screenings, in fact, in addition to the returns of Jason Momoa and Gal Gadot as Aquaman and Wonder Woman respectively, the film – drum roll – will also include Christopher Reeve’s Superman, Adam West’s Batman, Helen Slater’s Supergirl and Linda Carter’s Wonder Woman…all thanks to the DC Multiverse, who will be devastated by the Flash’s decision to go back in time to try and save his mother.
However, viewers insist on a not insignificant detail: the story of the film, despite all these cameos, is not only very coherent but also extremely emotional, funny and full of heart, and Ezra Miller would be great as Barry. In short, a buzz of endless compliments that certainly can only be good for a film that has so far been talked about only for a series of extra-cinema aspects.
Of course, this is not official information, so as usual, we invite you to take it with due precautions. What do you think? Tell us in the comments. The new release date, we remind you, is set for June 16, 2023.
