Little runners set off for Pink October

The Pink October operation, organized by the CCAS de Villeveyrac in partnership with the League Against Cancer, aims to raise awareness and mobilize the population around the fight against breast cancer, the type of cancer most frequently diagnosed in women at the global scale.

The proposed mobilization program is rich in activities. Indeed, a raffle is underway, with tickets on sale for €1 from local merchants. These tickets will be available until October 31 and a draw will take place on November 6 to choose the winners.

Furthermore, on Friday October 20, a heart race is planned at the Jean-Vié stadium. Children from village schools will participate under the slogans “All mobilized, all aware and all united”. For the private school, the race will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., while for the public school it will take place in the afternoon, from 1:45 p.m. to 4 p.m. A diploma will be given to each participant at the end of the race. The children will perform laps or half-turns around the stadium, prepared in advance by their teachers during PE lessons. The public is invited to get involved by paying a sum of money, freely chosen, for each trick completed by the children. All donations collected will be donated to the League Against Cancer.

Finally, on Monday October 23, the Youth Space will organize a Fluo DJ evening. The entry price is €13 per person, with reservation required and exclusively for members. The profits from this evening will also be donated to the League.
