How do I play Merate?
The Melate lottery is one of Mexico’s classic draws. Held after the sale ends at 9:15pm on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Economic markets are announced a few days in advance.
The money is different for each draw and accumulates if there is no winner, so the amount increases each time until there is a lucky winner.
The mereto draw is done through a ballot box where seven numbers are selected. The first six are called natural, and the seventh is called additional. At least two whole numbers must match the ticket to win the prize. The more winning numbers on your scorecard, the bigger the prize you get from the bag.
The way to participate is to fill out the Merate ballot form, which has 5 sections with 56 numbers in each. The player must choose his six numbers for each section. Each user has their own method, such as tradition or lucky numbers. There is also the possibility of leaving everything to the computer and letting it choose the numbers.
Each combination of 6 numbers costs 15 pesos, but you can also purchase up to 10 numbers to create up to 210 combinations for an additional fee.
If you buy 7 numbers, you have to pay 105 pesos to get 7 combinations. If you buy 8 numbers, you get 420 pesos for 28 different combinations. There are 84 combinations of 9 numbers and the cost is P1,260. It has 10 numbers with 210 possible combinations and costs P3,150.
