Luc Besson successfully launches “DogMan” before the film’s theatrical release

It was only a question of cinema at the Deauville Festival marking the return of Luc Besson to a French event after a warm welcome in Venice. The director, cleared by the Court of Cassation for rape charges, only wanted to talk about his film, the fascinating DogMan.

Accompanied by his wife, producer Virginie Besson-Silla and the main actor of the film, the brilliant Caleb Landry Jones, he was visibly moved by the very warm reception of the public for this portrait of a traumatized young man who finds refuge with the dogs he adopted.

A surprise for the spectators

Very discreet, the team chose not to go on stage to present the film, but everyone was very moved to tears by the warm welcome from the public. “When you are a director, there comes a time when nothing moves you or makes you laugh in the film you have made”, explains the director to 20 minutes.
