Making The Cut | Prime Video Announces Ten New Entrants to Fashion Competition Series; Check it out!


Prime Video reveals today who are the ten new designers who will participate in the third season of Making the Cut, a fashion competition series presented and executive produced by Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn. The new season premieres August 19 and will run two episodes a week, culminating in an epic finale on September 9, exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.

On the panel of judges and special guests, judging looks and business acumen, are some of the most exciting names in fashion: House of Harlow 1960s actress and creative director Nicole Richie and Moschino pop fashion icon and creative director, Jeremy Scott. Singers Chloe x Halle, stylist Jason Bolden, and fashion model and TikToker Wisdom Kaye join as guest judges throughout the season.


Season three will feature a new group of ten entrepreneurs and designers from around the world, who are ready to take their emerging brands to the next level and become the newest global phenomenon. The series winner will receive US$1 million to invest in their business and a mentorship with Amazon Fashion. The winner will also have the opportunity to create an exclusive co-brand with Amazon Fashion and sell their existing collection at Amazon Fashion’s Making the Cut store in the United States. The upcoming season will include exciting new brand collaborations, surprise fashion industry cameos serving as guest judges, and expanded collections from each week’s winning designers.


Making The Cut is produced by Sara Rea, Sue Kinkead, Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn and Jennifer Love, and is produced by Hello Sunshine and Amazon Studios.

The ten designers who will compete in the new season of Making the Cut are:

Ciara Chyanne Morgan (Watts, Los Angeles, California): Ciara Chyanne Morgan is a self-taught designer who took extended fashion courses at the OTIS College of Art and Design, the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising at Woodbury University, and holds a degree in sales and marketing from HBCU Tuskegee University. Passionate about design, she has her own brand, Ciara Chyannewhich bets on ready-to-wear contemporary and uplifting, and designs and consults for other companies. Ciara was featured in the magazine essenceher designs have been used by Elaine Welteroth and Liza Koshy in shows like The Talk and Live! with Kelly and Ryan, and she was recently featured in the Up & Coming Designer Series at the The Tamron Hall Show. Ciara also received the “She’s Next In Fashion” VISA 2022 Incentive Scholarship.

Curtis Cassell (Brooklyn, New York): Founder and designer of non-binary brand That was, Curtis Cassell launched his brand in New York around 2020. He studied graphic design at Columbia College Chicago and graduated in interior architecture from The Illinois Institute of Art — Chicago. His love of architecture and old movies inspires his silhouettes, telling a story with each piece. Her goal to expand from formal wear to everyday wear is driven by her desire to reach all audiences in her community, challenge existing boundaries and create fashion for everyone.

Emily Bargeron (Savannah, Georgia):Emily Bargeron is a high-vibration entrepreneur and businesswoman from Savannah, Georgia. She spends her time designing for her free-spirited fashion label, Mamie Ruthshopping for its award-winning vintage boutique, East + Up, and appearing at music festivals to spread happiness and good vibes. Her colorful collections and festive designs make people feel good, which is why she has been named Savannah’s Best Stylist for six years in a row. She’s a passionate 1970s child with hustle to spare, creating unforgettable experiences around her trademark: cool East Coast clothes with soul.

Gabriella Meyer (Chicago, Illinois): Los Angeles artist Gabriella Meyer creates ready-to-wear and custom streetwear in rarefied style through her brand DENIMCRATIC. His commitment to recycled materials and new denim techniques has earned him praise as a designer. Today, DENIMCRATIC has expanded into knitwear and other media, continuing to focus on sustainable designs with a provocative perspective. Founded in 2017 at the University of Michigan, DENIMCRATIC pieces can be seen on many celebrities including Bella Hadid, SZA, Camila Cabello, Hailey Bieber, Khalid, Alicia Keys and Issa Rae, and have been featured in The New York Times, Vogue and Marie Claire.

Georgia Hardinge (London, England): Born in London, Georgia Hardinge’s transitional life and international education gave her many opportunities to travel and develop her fascination with design. Training at Parsons Paris | The New School, Georgia won accolades by receiving the best designer award for its graduate collection. After launching your eponymous brand in 2010, she began to build her identity as a sculptural designer. Her designs have been used by some of the biggest names in the creative industry, including Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, Florence Welch, Kylie Minogue and Grimes. The brand was recognized by the British Fashion Council when it received BFC Contemporary and FASHION TRUST sponsorship for its unique work. Her signature style was recognized by Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire and, more recently, in the “How to Spend it” column of The Financial Times. She was also named to the “One to Watch” lists by the thanks with the sheand as one of the “Names to know” of InStyle. After the success of her early collections, Georgia continued to shine with celebrated collaborations, including bespoke clothing for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, a Swarovski sponsorship and a limited-edition Lancôme bottle, sold exclusively at Selfridges.

Jeanette Limas (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania): Jeanette Limas was born in the Dominican Republic and began her education there at the Mercy Jacquez Institute, studying modeling. She later enrolled at the prestigious Altos de Chavón School of Arts. Upon graduation, Jeanette received the Young Designer of the Year Award, which allowed her to present her debut collection during Dominican Republic Fashion Week. She also won a scholarship to study at Parsons School of Design and moved to New York for higher education. To develop her already dominant technique, she studied drapery at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Jeanette is currently a full-time designer and has worked on the Urban Zen design team of Donna Karan and Jolibe Atelier. In 2015, she started her eponymous brand and presented several successful collections at New York Fashion Week.

Markantoine Lynch-Boisvert (Montreal, Canada): From Shawinigan, Quebec, to Montreal – with a quick stop in Los Angeles – Markantoine Lynch-Boisvert is the eclectic mind behind the concept skate brand MRKNTN. With its blend of historical techniques, disparate cinematic references and its distinct youthful energy, Marky tells a story you can wear. Because having a brand isn’t enough, Markantoine shares his passion for creation as a teacher at his favorite Montreal fashion school, LaSalle College. Fun fact: Markantoine was chosen to exhibit alongside the iconic Thierry Mugler at the designer’s exhibition debut.

Rafael Chaouiche (Curitiba, Brazil): Rafael Chaouiche is a fashion designer with an eclectic personality, working to establish a career in Brazil. He grew up in a small country town where his family encouraged him to follow his dreams. He moved to Curitiba to study Fashion, but dropped out after the second year to pursue a career in the fashion industry. Its eponymous brand, Chaouicheis inspired by strong women, and her decidedly bold designs and mix of colors, fabrics and sculptural cuts catapulted her career in Brazil.

Sienna Li (New York, New York): Born and raised in China, Sienna Li is a full-time fashion designer based in New York City. Her work has been featured in magazines and online editorials such as Vogue Italia, Harper’s Bazaar and L’OFFICIAL. With a master’s degree in modern and contemporary literature from the University of York, she studied fashion at the Parsons School of Design. she released your brand of high-quality women’s clothing in 2015 and hopes to create a cheaper and more accessible sister brand.

Yannik Zamboni (Zurich, Switzerland): Yannik Zamboni holds a bachelor’s degree in fashion design from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Northwest Switzerland. He grew up in a small Swiss town of 700 people and always stood out from the crowd. He was once a model and then worked in marketing, but quit a high-paying job to pursue his creativity and dream of working in fashion. He is currently a full-time designer for his brand which he founded in September 2020, amason blanche, which drives the conversation of various sociopolitical issues and tackles taboo topics through conceptual fashion. Your brand’s subversive content is reflected in deconstructed designs and aims to amplify the rules of conduct. Yannik and his brand believe that sustainability is divided into four important spheres: ethical and moral, socio-political, ecological and economic, which must be respected and adhered to.
