Marcel Koller wants to lead the Polish national team. New candidate for the managerial position

After the sudden termination of his contract with Paulo Sousa, I still don’t know who will succeed him. The president of the Polish Football Association is still looking for a suitable candidate for the position of the selector of the Polish national team. For several days now, the media has been regularly informing about new names that could meet this challenge. Some of the coaches currently unemployed have decided to take matters into their own hands and submit their application to the Polish federation. According to Roman Kołtoń, another CV was placed on Cezary Kulesza’s desk.

According to a well-known journalist, Marcel Koller would like to become the selector of our team. The Swiss has previously led the Austrian national team for six years (2011-2017). He then managed to win the promotion of the European Championships held in France in 2016.

“Another name landed on Cezary Kulesza’s desk: Marcel Koller, Swiss with 6 years of experience in the national team,” wrote Roman Kołtoń.

The 61-year-old also has club experience. He was a trainer of, among others 1. FC Koeln, VfL Bochum, FC St. Gallen, Grasshoppers Zurich or FC Basel, with which he was associated for two years, from August 2018 to August 2020. Since then, he has been unemployed.
