Since July 13, Hollywood has been paralyzed following the call for a strike by the SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) union.Actors, screenwriters, dancers, stuntmen… Hundreds of them have been demonstrating for two months. This September 13, a big name in cinema appeared by walking alongside the demonstrators for the first time: Margot Robbie.
The Barbie interpreter was seen at the heart of a demonstration in West Hollywood, two months after the success of her film, declared as the most profitable of the year 2023. Walking from the Netflix studios to those of Paramount, the actress was with an army of colleagues. Wearing an oversized white t-shirt with the union logo, Margot Robbie proudly raised her sign.

Also in the game: Fran Drescher. It was she who called for this strike event on July 13. The interpreter of the “nanny from hell” is president of the SAG-AFTRA union and gave a speech to the demonstrators, protesting in front of Paramount studios.
Many other big names in cinema have joined the strike since the beginning of the summer. In July, the entire cast of the film “Oppenheimer”, including Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt and Matt Damon, had left the premiere of their film in London as soon as the strike was announced.
