Matthaeus defends Kimmich. They’re damning him. “Leave him alone” Soccer

On Tuesday evening Bayern Munich will play against Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League. This is the second game in a row that Joshua Kimmich will leave. The 64-times German representative is still in quarantine. Kimmich has not been vaccinated so far. His behavior caused a real storm in the German media, because our western neighbors are at the epicenter of the fourth wave of the pandemic. And yet we are talking about a country where almost 70 percent of the population is already vaccinated.

The legendary Lothar Matthaeus began to defend his countryman in public.

– They made Kimmich a scapegoat. I am curious how many journalists there are who also did not take the vaccine? How many other Bundesliga players are there? But we only read Kimmich’s name. Just Kimmich and Kimmich everywhere. I urge you to leave him alone. We certainly will not convince him to take the vaccine by giving him such a hell – said the former German representative on Sky.

Kimmich will be tempted by the vaccine?

According to the latest news from The Athletic, three out of five unvaccinated Bayern players are considering getting vaccinated. This is the result of talks that the players had with the club’s authorities, club doctors, the immunologist and the rest of the players. Among the unvaccinated who are considering adopting the antibodies are Kimmich, Mickael Malyance, Serge Gnabry, and Joshua Kimmich.

Then, the only ones not vaccinated would be Eric Choupo-Moting and Jamal Musiala.
