Mauricio Pochettino commented on rumors linking him to a move to Manchester United

Paris Saint-Germain coach Mauricio Pochettino attended a press conference ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League match against Manchester City. There were also questions about his possible move to Manchester United.

Wednesday is the day on which the next matches of the fifth matchday of the Champions League group stage will be played. In one of the most interesting games, Manchester City will face Paris Saint-Germain.

The first skirmish of these teams ended with the triumph of the latter in a ratio of 2-0. How will it be this time? We’ll find out in less than 24 hours.

Before that happened, however, there was a press conference with the guest coach Mauricio Pochettino. Its main topic, however, was not so much the match as the rumors linking the Argentine with the position of manager of local rival “The Citizens”, Manchester United.

– I’m not a kid and I know the world of football is just like that. It’s a business with all sorts of rumors, and I totally understand that. Sometimes, however, they are positive, other times they are negative. At this point, I am focusing only on Wednesday’s game – he said.

– Paris? I am happy with where I am. I got to know the city well, both as a player and as a coach. It’s just the way it is. So if you ask me if I am fine here, I will say yes, of course, he added.

The 49-year-old, however, was not eager to say whether he was planning to extend his contract with the French runner-up.

– I thought it was clear. I have a contract until the end of the 2022/2023 season. So it’s almost two more years. I am pleased with what I have achieved in Paris Saint-Germain and with the conditions I have here. These are facts, not a topic for discussion, he concluded.

Manchester City’s mid-game start against Paris Saint-Germain at 21:00.
