The cast of the AMC TV series, Mayfair Witchescontinues to grow: the show based on Anne Rice’s literary cycle dedicated to the Mayfair witches welcomes a new member of the cast for one of the main roles: Jack Huston joins the cast of the AMC series, alongside Mayfair Witches star Alexandra Daddario.
The actor, known for roles in Fargo, The Irishman and in the series Boardwalk EmpireSara Lasher, the spirit who promised wealth and power to the Mayfair family in exchange for their help in bringing him into the world of the living. Huston joins the cast which includes actors such as Harry Hamlin as Cortland Mayfair, Annabeth Gish, Tongayi Chirisa, Beth Grant and Jen Richards.
The series inspired by Anne Rice’s literary trilogy revolves around the character of Rowan Fielding (Alexandra Daddario), a brilliant neurosurgeon who suddenly discovers that she is the unlikely heir to a family of witches. As she gains confidence in his new powers, the Rowan faces a sinister presence that has haunted her family for generations.
Filming of Mayfair Witches are currently underway in New Orleans and the 8-part series will debut on AMC and stream on AMC + by the end of 2022. Mayfair Witches is written and produced by Michelle Ashford and Esta Spalding, who also serves as showrunner.
The series will not be the only literary adaptation of an Anne Rice work that will see the light on AMC: in fact, the network has also produced a TV series of Interview with the Vampire that will debut in October 2022.
