Media: Bayern intends to break the bank. He plans to break his own Pika Nona transfer record

Pedri became the winner of the Golden Boy Award for 2021. The Barcelona midfielder was much ahead of his rivals and scored 318 points. Interestingly, the second in this classification, Jude Bellingham, representing Borussia Dortmund, received almost 200 votes less. Pedri was an absolute revelation of the previous Primera Division season, and the intense intensity has seen the midfielder struggle with muscular injuries. Due to a calf problem, Pedri is unlikely to play until the end of 2021.

Pedri tempted by Bayern Munich. The German champions want to break the transfer record

The Spanish newspaper AS reports that Bayern Munich is very interested in winning Pedri. The footballer community knows about the interest on the part of the German champions. Bayern would like to make this transfer during the winter window, but it also does not rule out a fight over Pedri next summer. Bavarians tempt the 18-year-old with a vision of enormous wages: Pedri in Munich would earn about four more than now. Bayern wants to break the transfer record it set two years ago with Lucas Hernandez for € 80 million.

Barcelona was announcing Pedri’s new contract by saying “we’ve got it for a while”. The current midfielder agreement is valid until the end of 2026, and it includes a EUR 1 billion breakaway clause. No other Barcelona player has an equal amount in the contract. Experts from the “Carrusel Deportivo” program said a few days after signing the contract that Pedri had much better offers and went to the side of Barcelona activists.

Selling Pedri would certainly improve Barcelona’s financial situation. Javier Tebas, the head of the Primera Division, informed some time ago that the budget of the club from the Catalan capital for the winter transfer window is around 20 million euros. So far, the media has aimed at Barcelona players such as Cedric Bakambu, Dani Olmo, Thiago Alcantara and Raheem Sterling.
