Media: Ralf Rangnick obtained a work visa (update) | ManUtd.pl

According to Simon Stone from the BBC, Ralf Rangnick finally obtained a work visa for people visiting the British Isles. This means that the German coach will be able to lead the team against Crystal Palace. The Athletic website revealed that Ralf Rangnick’s press conference will be held on Friday morning.

Manchester United have announced Ralf Rangnick as interim first-team coach until the end of this season. Thereafter, the German will serve as an adviser at Old Trafford for two years. In recent days, the media reported about Rangnick’s arrival in England, but the lack of a proper visa prevented him from working with Manchester United players.

Simon Stone reported that Ralf Rangnick has already obtained a work visa and can start working with Manchester United. However, the German will not lead the team against Arsenal.

In the game against “The Gunners” we will once again see Michael Carrick on the bench, for whom this will most likely be the last match as interim manager. Ralf Rangnick will sit in the stands of Old Trafford during Thursday’s game and will likely take over the team ahead of the next league game against Crystal Palace.

The Athletic revealed that Manchester United announced a press conference for Ralf Rangnick at 9:00 on Friday. The German will lead Manchester United’s first team in the upcoming match against Crystal Palace.

The reason for the problems with obtaining a visa for Rangnick was Brexit, which in the case of non-UK workers requires approval from the GBE. In addition, the career of the German trainer did not help, because Rangnick worked too short as a trainer in the last 5 years, and he spent most of this period in management positions.

This meant that the “Red Devils” had to appeal to the FA appeals body, which took into account the German’s experience and the applicant’s worth when making its decision. The entire process was managed by the FA, which then referred the application to the Ministry of the Interior.

The three-person committee considered the application positively and decided that Rangnick would be a valuable addition that could contribute to the development of the ball at the highest league level in England. The commission also analyzed Rangnick’s previous positions.

Manchester United’s new interim manager arrived in England on Monday evening, thus avoiding the latest isolation rules following his arrival in the British Isles.

Right now Ralf Rangnick is focusing on bringing in a new assistant as he has received the club’s approval to make a few staff changes.
