MediaTek Dimensity 9000 will go to Samsung smartphones

Samsung is undoubtedly one of the most famous smartphone manufacturers on the market. In addition, the Korean tech giant produces its own Exynos series processors that power both its budget and flagship models. Everything indicates that next year the devices of this brand will include three flagship processors, including the top MediaTek Dimensity 9000.

The flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9000 will go to Samsung smartphones

Samsung uses both Qualcomm Snapdragon, Exynos and MediaTek processors in its devices. The latter, however, have so far been sold only to low- and mid-range models. Never to flagships, because these – depending on the country – had either the top Snapdragon or Exynos on board.

As it turns out, in the case of upcoming smartphones, it may be a bit different, because a trusted informant using a pseudonym Ice Universereports that among manufacturers who will equip their devices with the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip, there will be, among others Samsung, and also vivo, realme, Xiaomi, OPPO, Motorola and OnePlus.

This is quite a surprise, because the Koreans have not implemented the top MediaTek processors in their smartphones so far. Unfortunately, at the moment it is not known which model (s?) The flagship Dimensity 9000 will go to. In theory, considering the specification and performance of this system, it should be a device from the Galaxy S series, but only time will tell.

MediaTek will be the first manufacturer to use Micron’s LPDDR5X memory

Micron and MediaTek work closely together, and we will see the first results of their joint work in the coming weeks, because the flagship processor of the Taiwanese manufacturer – MediaTek Dimensity 9000 will be one of the first chips to support the DRAM dice of the new version.

At the same time, Micron’s LPDDR5X modules will be the first to go to smartphones with this processor, thanks to which flagship smartphones equipped with this duo will be really efficient. LPDDR5X memories are 33% faster than the basic LPDDR5 – they have transfers at the level of 8533 MT / s (while in the case of LPDDR5 it was 6400 MT / s).

In everyday use, we will not be able to notice the difference, but most likely LPDDR5X modules supported the Dimensity 9000 processor, which obtained over a million points in the AnTuTu synthetic test.
