Meghan Markle beautician reveals how to prepare your face skin for fall

Autumn is fast approaching, and with it a new set of problems that the skin will have to deal with. Low temperatures, gusty winds, indoor heating and hot baths, which at this time of year are the most commonly used remedy for depressed mood – all of these can aggravate post-holiday skin ailments: discoloration, dryness and redness.

“Lower temperatures cause a drop in humidity. This usually dehydrates the skin and damages its natural protective barrier. This results in even more loss of moisture and irritation. Central heating and long, hot baths also dry the skin, making it excessively tense and prone. for redness “- explains Sarah Chapman, a well-known London beautician in an interview with” Vogue “magazine, whose services have been used by, among others, Victoria Beckham, Gigi Hadid, Naomi Watts, Uma Thurman and Meghan Markle.

So how to effectively take care of your skin and prepare it for the colder months? Chapman recommends that you include a moisturizing serum with hyaluronic acid in your care, which should be used daily, before applying a nourishing cream. Another ingredient worth looking for on cosmetics labels is aloe – because it has a strong moisturizing, cleansing and soothing effect.

At the end of summer, evening care becomes more important. “This is the best time to strengthen the skin’s protective barrier and accelerate its regeneration. Then, reach for products containing omega-3 fatty acids, which have antioxidant properties, as well as natural antioxidants and vitamin-rich vegetable oils. it will be firm and radiant “- the expert advises.

Chapman emphasizes that although we are slowly forgetting about heat and strong sun, we must not give up cream with a protective filter. UV rays can harm our skin even on a cloudy day. To regenerate the skin more after summer, the beautician also recommends regular peelings and massages.

If we want a holistic approach to beauty, let’s pay attention to what ends up on our plate – the diet has a huge impact on the condition of the skin. “When it gets colder, we are tempted by sweets. Meanwhile, green vegetables and fatty fish provide the skin with support from the inside. You should also remember to drink enough water during the day” – noted the specialist.
