Did you miss the Met Gala? The stars, apparently, too, because the event, which was initially planned for an intimate setting, turned out to be a juicy red carpet. The Metropolitan Museum of Art hosted such celebrities as Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Billie Eilish, Hailey and Justin Bieber, Emily Ratajkowski, Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner, and Megan Fox. Before you, the most beautiful, the most surprising, quite peculiar and loud star creations from Met Gala 2021.
Met Gala 2021: the most beautiful star creations
This year’s famous rule “The First Monday in May” had to be broken. The coronavirus pandemic effectively thwarted the Met Gala’s plans, but the industry’s most anticipated fashion event took place – just in September, not May. Even the stars were eager for more official exits, and at least the former superior Met Gala 2021 (which, by the way, was spread over two dates over a period of several months) was supposed to be a small event, it quickly turned into a spectacular red carpet.
This year, the leitmotif of the ball and the Costume Institute exhibition “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion”. Celebrities and models interpreted the essence of the American style in their stylizations in their own way, as a result of which some of the stylizations were very literal (smuggled motif of the US flag), and others quite free (referring to the theme by choosing dresses and suits from American designers).
Kendall Jenner, Zoe Kravitz and Anja Rubik in the gowns everyone is talking about. The translucent creations were a hit at the Met Gala 2021 >>
Who came to the Met Gala 2021? Styling
The event gathered real crowds. Apart from Anna Wintour (flower maxi Oscar de la Renta) and this year’s hosts – Billie Eilish (the peach Hollywood dress of Oscar de la Renta, which the singer referred to the US icon, Marilyn Monroe), Timothée Chalamet (white Haider Ackermann suit and … Converse sneakers), Amanda Gorman (Vera Wang cobalt dress) i Naomi Osaka (a bold dress with a Louis Vuitton tag that harks back to its roots), many famous celebrities showed up.
Among the guests, we also noticed such names as Sienna Miller (pastel gown with a silver trim by Gucci design), Zoe Kravitz (naked dress by Yves Saint Laurent), Olivia Rodrigo (Saint Laurent lace jumpsuit with feathers), Anja Rubik (another sheer dress this evening, this time with blue feathers and YSL design), Justin and Hailey Bieber (both in elegant black, she is Saint Laurent, he – in a suit by his own brand, Drew House), Gigi Hadid (white Prada dress), Kendall Jenner (and again a dress full of sheer, but this time the Givenchy design), Kaia Gerber (gorgeous black Oscar de la Renta dress), Carey Mulligan (Valentino dress in bubble gum color), Karlie Kloss (impressive red dress by Carolina Herrera), Emma Chamberlain (gold cut out dress Louis Vuitton). It is also worth adding to the phenomenal creations Iman (golden phenomenal Harris Reed gown), Yara Shahidi (She decided to pay tribute to Josephine Baker with her styling and chose the Dior dress), Megan Fox (red lace-up Dundas dress), Emily Blunt (crystal gown with white Miu Miu cape), Emily Ratajkowski (in floral red Vera Wang), Lorde (cream Bode set and gothic tiara), Lily Rose Depp (pink top and Chanel skirt), Rihanna (Black Balenciaga Kurta Dress) and Asap Rocky (braided colorful ERL cape).

It also caught my attention Kim Kardashian in a black jumpsuit with a train that covers everything including the whole head – except for a high ponytail – designed by Balenciaga. She surprised Jennifer Lopezthat opted for cowboy style from Ralph Lauren, in turn Lil Nas X, who prepared as many as three styles, not at all (the eccentric musician has already accustomed us to the fact that he approaches fashion boldly and loves Versace). They bragged about their dresses that were not particularly hit Saweetie (Christian Cowan’s fairytale glitter dress), Addison Rae (Tom Ford’s red dress for Gucci), Madison Beer (dim black with Patricia Voto cubic zirconia), Kristen Stewart (in white pants and a pink tied Chanel shirt).
This year, statement dresses also appeared: they decided to use fashion as a speech tube, among others Cara Delevingne (she was wearing white pants and a Dior vest with the words “Peg the patriarchy”) and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (white mermaid dress with “Tax the rich” slogan written in red by Brother Vellies).
