Florence, August 10, 2022 – Monday August 15 you can do the expense without major problems. The large-scale distribution chains have decided to keep open at least part of them supermarkets . The only exception is the supermarkets of Unicoop Firenze and Unicoop Tirreno , which, according to the ‘closed by choice 10 days a year’ policy, will not open on Monday 15 August. The day before, Sunday 14, the larger ones, such as the Unicoop Firenze center in Sesto Fiorentino, will be open – but only in the morning – until 1.30pm.
The opening is patchy, but guaranteeing at least one supermarket open per province. TO Florence five out of nine outlets are open from 8 to 14, namely Canova, Gignoro, Masaccio, Novoli and Galluzzo. The supermarkets in Sesto Fiorentino and Campi Bisenzio are also open mid-day. Also the Esselunga of Arezzo and that of San Concordio a Lucca will be open from 9 to 14 while there are six stores in Tuscany open all day, from 8 to 20: Livorno, Viareggio, Lido di Camaiore, Marlia, Massa and Carrara .
Also in this case the openings are patchy. In principle, Conad supermarkets in city centers, such as in Florence, guarantee the service also for Ferragosto. The approximately 190 points of sale in Tuscany will tend to remain open at least there morning to guarantee the service and will certainly be open for the whole day in the tourist resorts.
Most of the Pam supermarkets in Tuscany will be open. TO Siena , for example, all three outlets in the chain will pull up the bandone. The one in via Banchi di Sotto will be open from 9 am to midnight. From 9 to 22 it will also be possible to go shopping in the Pam shop in Viale dei Mille a Florence and ad Arezzo just to give some examples, the Campo Marzio supermarket will open from 8.30 to 20.00.
The German discount store will be open almost everywhere on August 15th. By consulting the website, the shop in via Baracca a Florence (opening hours 8.30-21), the one in via Aurelia Nord a Pisa (from 8 to 21) and in Piazza Marconi a Grosseto (from 8.30 to 20.30).
Penny Market proceeds in no particular order, with supermarkets that for the most part remain open only in the morning, such as the one in via Lanzi in Florence and the one in Calenzano, which both close at 1pm.
