Mila Kunis – who is the actress?
Mila Kunis, or actually Milena Markovna Kunis, was born on August 14, 1983 in Chernivtsi, in what is now western Ukraine (then the USSR). She comes from a Jewish family, she is the daughter of an engineer – Marek Kunis and a physics teacher – Elwira. Mila has an older brother, Michael. On the threshold of political and political changes in these areas, 7-year-old Mila emigrated to Los Angeles with the Kunis family, also due to increasing anti-Semitic behavior towards them.
In California, Mila Kunis quickly learned a new language, thanks in part to the popular TV show “The Price is Right”. In the “City of Angels” she attended Hubert Howe Bancroft Middle School, at the same time enrolling in extracurricular acting classes. She took her first steps on stage, playing small roles in school plays and in TV commercials. She made her big screen debut in the 1994 short drama “Make a Wish, Molly”. In the same year, she also appeared in one of the episodes of the series “Days of our life”.
During her first years in the film industry, Mila used the help of a tutor. Kunis attended the Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies (LACES) for a short period, but when that school proved insufficiently flexible with the scope of her acting commitments, the young artist moved to Fairfax High School, which she graduated from in 2001. Then she attended the University of California and Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles for one semester.
Mila Kunis – movies and series
The real fame of Mila Kunis was brought by the role in the series “Pink 70s” (1998-2006), although at first she had a difficult task, because only adults were to be included in the cast, and Mila was only 14 years old during the castings. However, it was considered that she was best suited for the role that the writers came up with. In the aforementioned series, Mila played the role of Jackie, a pretty, rich, spoiled, self-righteous and selfish girl Michael Kelso, who was played in the series by Ashton Kutcher (later life partner of the actress). Less than a year earlier, Kunis played a small role in the film “Honey, we shrunk ourselves”, playing the role of a friend of the protagonist’s daughter.
Despite the fact that for many years Mila Kunis was known almost exclusively for playing the role of Jackie Burkhart in the series “Pink 70s” (7 Teen Choice Awards nominations), she has shown the world that she can do so much more. First, she voiced the character of Meg Griffin in the animation “Head of the Family” (1999), and then starred in many films, including: “Parting Art” (2001), “The Wedding of Tony and Tina” (2004), “When passion will go out “(2007),” McAllister’s Moving “(2007), or” Max Payne “(2008).
