Modder did not wait for Nvidia. He converted GeForce RTX 2060 to a version with 12 GB of memory

VIK-on is a Russian modder who likes to rework Nvidia graphics cards. He has already managed to expand the VRAM memory of the RTX 2070 and RTX 3070 models up to 16 GB. Now he took the GeForce RTX 2060 to the workshop, where he doubled the memory.

The VIK-on modder fell into the Asus RTX 2060 Turbo model, which was modified with a new phase of the power delivery system. He used it as a memory Samsung K4ZAF325BM-HC14 2 GB boneswhich replaced the existing 1 GB modules.

As we well know, Nvidia itself is getting ready to launch the GeForce RTX 2060 model with doubled up to 12 GB of VRAM. The device is expected to debut next month. A bit later, we expect the premiere of the refreshed versions of the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti and 3080 RTX. In the former, the memory will also be doubled.
