The coach of the Polish national handball team, Patryk Rombel, announced the 18-person squad for the European championships in Hungary and Slovakia, which begins on Thursday. The team initially lacked Rafał Przybylski and Dawid Dawydzik, who had positive test results for COVID-19.
On Wednesday evening, TVP Sport journalist Michał Wojs announced that the previously appointed Adam Morawski, Piotr Chrapkowski and Kacper Adamski also fell ill with COVID-19
The European Championship will start on Thursday and will run until 30 January. In the first round, Poland will play in group D against Germany, Austria and Belarus.
The Biało-Czerwoni will inaugurate their participation in the tournament with the match against the Austrians on January 14 in Bratislava.
The staff of the representation and the PZPR will be kept informed about the next cadre movements.
