Green MP Sabrina Sebaihi, rapporteur for the commission of inquiry into dysfunctions within sports federations in France, points out the “archaic” organization of some of them.

“We didn’t expect what we dug up,” admits Sabrina Sebaihi, in an interview with the daily Ouest-France this Wednesday, September 15. The first testimonies collected so far are “chilling” she added without giving details. She even mentions “barbarity” and “sexual torture”.

The platform for collecting testimonies from victims of violence in the sporting world, called “Balance ton sport”, was put online on Wednesday September 13 as part of a commission of inquiry by the National Assembly.

Freedom of speech

It “aims to support the momentum for freedom of speech and to shed light on the work of the commission of inquiry into failures in the sports movement”, launched in July at the request of environmentalists who underline, in their press release, that revelations of “sexual and gender-based violence” have affected “almost all disciplines”.
