Ms. Marvel, Iman Vellani on his obsession with Jon Favreau’s first Iron Man (2008) film: “It means a lot to me.”
L’June 8 debuted on the streaming platform Disney + Ms. Marvelthe new series of Marvel Studios dedicated to the young Pakistani-American superheroine Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) that we will see again on the big screen alongside Brie Larson (Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel) e Teyonah Parris (Monica Rambeau) in The Marvels from Nia DaCosta.
During an interview with Marvel.com, Iman Vellani spoke of his deep love for Marvel Cinematic Universe and his obsession with the former Iron Man (2008) of Jon Favreau. In particular, the young actress explained that she had seen the film starring her Robert Downey Jr. countless times, calling it his “comfort movie“:
“I think this all started because I had a crush on Robert Downey Jr. [ride] That movie is beautiful. Jon Favreau is a truly incredible director. I think that when I was 11 or 12, my obsession with Marvel reached its peak, and I became obsessed with Iron Man and everything to do with him. “
“Whenever I was sad, I looked at him. Whenever I was happy, I looked at it. The first thing I did when I was hired was to look at the film again. Every important moment in my life also includes Iron Man, because I’m very attached to that film, it means a lot to me and, even if it’s not the best film ever made, it is to me.“
