Talking about road safety also and above all means carrying out careful and punctual planning to improve the road system, eliminating sources of danger for pedestrians and for all road users. In this sense, roundabouts are increasingly taking shape on the island, and several are being studied. In Forio, for example, one will be born in the hamlet of Panza. “We arrive at this excellent result after years of commitment and work – explains the deputy mayor Mario Savio – It was 2019 when, together with the municipal offices, we applied for funding for the important intervention to improve road safety at the extra-urban intersection at grade, through the of a roundabout Via M. D’ Ambra – Via Cavaliere Leonardo mpagliazzo – Via Montecorvo (crossing for Panza). In 2021, the framework agreement for the execution of the works was contracted. We arrived at this signature after a long work that lasted almost three years, during which this important objective was achieved with the commitment of the Del Deo Administration, in symbiosis with the Metropolitan City: the safety and redevelopment of the two intersections central in the road system both for the hamlet of Panza and for those who go to or come from Serrara Fontana. Having achieved this objective demonstrates how committing one’s time to solving the country’s problems, without leaving it to others, leads to concrete results”. Savio then adds that again with the support of the Metropolitan City “the works for the arrangement of the cliff at the source of the bay of Sorgeto will soon start”.
