Neymar defends Lucas Crispim after midfielder is removed from Fortaleza: ‘Being an athlete is not easy’

After Fortaleza removed midfielder Lucas Crsipim, for celebrating his birthday with a party, Neymar came out in defense of the player. Both were teammates at Santos’ base and are friends.

“You lost… you can’t celebrate your grandmother’s, son’s, wife’s and especially your birthday. Being an athlete is not easy???? ‘you can only be happy after your career ends, how crazy’”, wrote the PSG and Brazilian national team ace on social media.

The celebration of Crispim’s birthday party, who turns 28 this Sunday (19), took place the day after Fortaleza lost to Avaí, in the 12th round of the Brazilian Championship.

The Tricolor do Pici is the lantern of the competition, with only 7 points conquered. This Sunday, the team enters the field against América-MG, at 6 pm, for the 13th round.

Athletes are obviously entitled to leisure. However, they should know that there are appropriate times and ways to do so.

Professional players represent the Club, and the Institution needs to be respected, especially in the most difficult moments.

The athlete no longer participates today in training to prepare for the game against América-MG and is out of tomorrow’s match”.
